Unlocking the vehicle:
You can only unlock and lock the vehicle using the Emil app. You’ll find the car key in the glove compartment. Please return it to the designated holder before ending your booking. Otherwise, you won’t be able to end the booking.
Damage inspection:
Check the vehicle for damage: Any damage not already noted in the logbook (Emil app) must be documented before you start your journey. Failure to carry out a damage check may result in additional charges.
Cleanliness:
If the vehicle is excessively dirty when you collect it, please report this via the Emil app.
Checking the mileage and range:
Before setting off, please check the range to ensure it is sufficient for your booking. If the charge level is <10%, you should not start the journey and must report this via the Emil app when ending the booking. Please also bear in mind that the faster you drive, the quicker the battery will drain and the range will decrease.
If you have any questions or problems, please get in touch with MOQO, either via the Emil app or the 24-hour support hotline on 0241 95788366.
Extending your booking:
If you wish to use the vehicle for longer than originally booked, you can – provided no subsequent booking is affected – extend your booking using the Emil app. You will then pay for the use as normal in accordance with the fee schedule.
Early return:
If you wish to return the vehicle earlier than planned, simply end the hire as usual. You will only be charged for the time actually used.
Late return:
As a general rule, we ask that you do not book your hire for too short a period. Realise you’re running late? No problem – please make sure to report your delay to MOQO’s 24-hour support hotline before your booking expires, or try to extend your booking via the Emil app. Please note our late return charges.
Proper return:
The vehicle must always be returned to its designated location. If the parking space is occupied, the user is obliged to park the car in the immediate vicinity. In doing so, the user must comply with the Highway Code and park the car in an official car park. If the car park charges a fee, the user must obtain a parking ticket. To claim a refund for these costs, the receipt can be sent to kontakt@emil-kl.de. The refund will be processed via the completed booking. If a previous user has returned the car to the wrong location, the current user is obliged to return the vehicle to the correct location once their booking has ended. You can always find the car’s designated location in the app under the ‘Parking’ tab.
Charging electric vehicles:
Please connect the electric vehicle to the charging point at the car-sharing car park using the charging cable in the boot after every journey. For payment and authorisation – even if you need to recharge whilst out and about – please use the SWK charging card in the glove compartment. You’ll also find instructions on how to charge the vehicle there. You can view all available charging points in the Emil app.
Insurance:
All vehicles are covered by third-party liability and comprehensive/part-comprehensive insurance. Your excess is limited to €500.00.
What to do in the event of a breakdown:
In the event of a technical fault or breakdown, please contact WNS on 0631 3418314 (Mon–Thu 07:00–16:00, Fri 07:00 – 14:30) or, outside these service hours, the 24-hour emergency number for the breakdown service provider Auto Gräf e. K. on 06241 925215 (please only contact them if the vehicle is no longer roadworthy). They will arrange for the vehicle to be towed, repaired or similar measures to be taken on your behalf. Please ensure your own safety at all times (hazard warning lights, high-visibility vest and warning triangle).
What to do in the event of an accident:
Ensure your own safety. Switch on your hazard warning lights, put on a high-visibility vest and set up a warning triangle.
If necessary, call the emergency services (112) and administer first aid.
In all cases (including accidents involving minor damage), notify the police (110) and WNS. Do not admit liability without consulting customer service.
Document the accident using the accident report forms provided (in the glove compartment). Make a note of the names and addresses of those involved in the accident, any witnesses, and the registration numbers of the vehicles involved.
To facilitate further processing, please forward the police reference number and the accident report to kontakt@emil-kl.de without delay.
You can park your vehicle in public car parks whilst your booking is active. You must pay the parking fees directly. This also applies whilst your vehicle is charging at public charging points. Parking and charging at the Emil car park remain free of charge.
