Use

Every vehicle in our fleet is assigned to a specific location. Please return the vehicle to the same place where you collected it.

The electricity costs for the vehicle are already included in the per-kilometre rates. Our fleet consists of electric vehicles. Please recharge the vehicle after each booking. To do this, connect the vehicle to the charging point at the car-sharing car park using the charging cable from the boot. For payment and authorisation – even if you need to recharge whilst out and about – please use our SWK charging card, which you’ll find in the glove compartment.

Unfortunately, you are not permitted to park your vehicle in these car parks during your booking. Unauthorised vehicles parked in these car parks will be towed away at the owner’s expense.

Please find the nearest authorised car park in the vicinity and report this to Customer Services on (0631) 8001-1200.

Yes, another person may drive the car provided they meet the terms of use, hold a valid driving licence and you, as the registered user, are in the car with them.

You don’t need to worry about any dirt left by previous users. Please report this via the app. We’ll then make sure the vehicle is cleaned up. If you happen to make the vehicle excessively dirty yourself, we may charge a cleaning fee. Please keep an eye out for our emails.

You can lock and unlock the vehicle using the Emil app. The key is in the glove compartment, and you can use it as normal throughout your booking. To end your hire, you must lock the vehicle using the Emil app.

As a general rule, we ask that you do not book your session at the last minute. Realise you’re running late? No problem – please make sure you notify our customer service team of your delay before your booking expires by calling 0631 8001-1200, or try extending your booking via the Emil app. Please note our late fees in this regard.

Is the vehicle you’ve booked unavailable? Please contact our customer service team on 0631 8001-1200.

Check the vehicle for damage: Any damage not yet recorded in the logbook (app) must be documented before you set off. Also, always carry your valid driving licence with you.

Please bear in mind that other customers will also be using the vehicles after you. Out of consideration for people with allergies, we ask that you do not travel with pets in Emil.

No, you can only use the vehicle fleet if you are a registered customer.
